Interesting article. I was under the incorrect impression the Pac 10 wanted out of the BCS. That's too bad. I'd like them to go to some playoff system. One argurment against the playoff system is that there isn't enough time to fit one in. Ohio State had 51 days between their last 2 games! In my opinion, it all comes down to money.
Thanks for the comment Mark. I agree it is all about money. There is plenty of time. I think the East Coast media bias loses their power base with a playoff. There is no way Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, Florida State, and the SEC schools are as strong as the East Coast media build them up to be every year. A mostly unbiased playoff is the only fair way to measure a number 1, not a polling of coaches and sports writers.
