Jordon Cooper quotes Thomas Merton in a prayer for the new year. Link. Merton's prayer speaks to my heart.
Lord, I don't know where you will take me, but I'm in this for the long run.

Merton's prayer speaks to my heart too!
Merton actually reminded me of what Andrew Murray wrote in his book, 'An Exciting New Life':
"The young Christian must try to cherish a deep convition of his ignorance concerning the new life, and of his inability to form correct thoughts about it. This will bring him to the meekness and the childlike spirit of humility, to which the Lord will make His secret known."
I find that "meekness and the childlike spirit of humility" in Merton's prayers. No wonder, his faith and wisdom come from the secrets God made known to him.
Sorry, I always forget to sign my comments.
